Terms and Conditions – Course Bookings

This document (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you (“you“, “participant” means the party contracting with ABCS for courses) the terms and conditions on which we (“we”, “us” or “ABCS” means the Alberta BC Safety Inc.) supply training courses.  Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking a course(s) on our website.  You should understand that by booking a course(s), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

Booking Policy

ABCS wishes to make your course registration easy and efficient.  The following policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of our booking process.  If you have any questions, please contact us by email at admin@albertabcsafety.com or by phone at our main office at 1-780-690-2227.

Bookings for courses can be made via our “Website” (albertabcsafety.com) or by contacting our Main Office at 1-780-690-2227.  For online bookings, please select the Course that you require and click on the “Register Now” button or “Add to Cart”, follow the instructions step by step.

Before completing your registration, carefully review the details for the course you have selected.  Make sure that you have selected the course you require on the correct date.  Booking errors are not easily adjusted after the sale has been confirmed.

When booking a course online, a confirmation of the booking is emailed within 24 hours of the request being received by ABCS.  If you have not received your confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration, please check your email account spam filter/folder.  It is your responsibility to contact ABCS to confirm your booking if you have not received an email confirmation.

All courses have maximum registration limitations based on regulatory requirements.  All bookings are taken based on a first booked, first served basis and then based on prepayment of course registration fees.

Late Arrival and Reschedule Policy

Classes will start promptly at the designated time.  If you are late for your scheduled class, you may be turned away and asked to reschedule.  Consideration will be given to in person or telephone requests to reschedule a course after the cut-off time has passed, but NOT on the day of a course.  In this case, you will be required to pay a rescheduling fee of $30.00.  No credit or refunds will be given for no shows or cancellations made past the cut-off times (see cancellation policy below).

Fit for Duty Policy

Participants who are not fit for duty may present a safety risk to themselves and to others.  Each participant is required to attend class in an emotional, mental and physical condition (including free of the effects of alcohol and drugs) necessary to complete his or her class in a safe and successful manner.  No credit or refunds will be given for those not complying with this fit for duty policy..

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel or do not attend a class you have registered for, you will forfeit your entire course fee unless you give 24 hours notice of your cancellation.  Bookings cancelled with more than 24 hours notice (prior to the start time of the course), course fees will be refunded or transferred to another course at no cost to you.  Please keep in mind that changes to your course booking must be done in person or over the telephone and only during business hours.  Requests by email or voicemail for cancelling or rescheduling will NOT be allowed.

Cancelled or Postponed Courses

ABCS reserves the right to amend or cancel any course, course times, dates or published prices.  Changes to course prices, times and dates will be advised before the course start date and any course already paid in full will not be subject to the increased price.  As a course may be cancelled up to four weeks prior to its start date, we recommend that participants do not make travel or accommodation arrangements before this time.  Any travel or accommodation costs incurred are entirely the participants responsibility.  ABCS does not accept any liability for reimbursement of any costs incurred whatsoever in relation to its training courses.  Where a course has been cancelled, participants will be offered an alternative date for the same course, a credit towards another course or a refund.

Payment Methods

Online course bookings may be made using a number of different payment options, including but not limited to, credit card, VISA debit, Interac Online, PayPal and promotion codes.  ABCS may introduce new payment methods from time to time.  Any course bookings made by such new payment methods will be governed by these Terms and Conditions as well as any other applicable policies and third party terms of use.

Privacy Policy

By purchasing a course online, you agree to receive email updates from ABCS (e.g., changes to course location, time, etc.). Your personal information will not be shared at any other time with any other party but may be used to contact you once your certification expires, or to inform you about other courses we offer that may be of interest to you. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please call (780) 690-2227 prior to registering for your course.

Changes to Registration

Any changes to your registration information (email, full legal name, phone number, address etc.) must be done in person or over the telephone and only during business hours.  Requests by email or voice mail for such changes will NOT be allowed.
